Guide Dogs for the Blind -Puppy Update Zeus - our sponsored puppy was born 7 January 2010 - he has six cutebrothers and sisters. At present he is "an uncoordinated bundle of fluff" but will start his early training with his puppy walker and we hope to share with you his transformation into a responsible guide dog.

In 2008, the employees of Larne Harbour raised nearly £5,300 for their nominated charity. This money is going to sponsor the training of a puppy. Watch this space for further details i.e. the name, the photo etc.
Following the success of 2007's fundraising events, Larne Harbour Limited is pleased to announce that Guide Dogs for the Blind is the nominated 'charity of the year' 2008.
In 2007 the Port of Larne staff and charity committee raised a grand total of £7,065.00 by holding various events throughout the year, including abseiling down the BT tower, holding a night at the races and a book sale.
